Our Mission Statement FCS

The Mission Statement of Fine China Sisters

We believe women are designed much like fine china. Fine china can endure and hold various degrees of temperatures, from extreme heat to refreshing cold. The beautiful craftsmanship of paintings that goes into designing each piece of fine china is relatively seen in the life of each woman. God has fearfully and wonderfully created (hand crafted and designed) each woman with her own unique patterns. No one woman is like the other. The durable porcelain, when put through the fire, makes fine china last throughout generations. However, fine china must be handled with care in order to preserve its value, beauty and longevity.  Women, although hand crafted beautifully and durably, must too be handled with care in order to preserve their beauty, value and endurance. When this beauty and value are shattered by life’s adversities, Fine China Sisters will be there to help put the broken pieces back together and restore each woman to her original beauty and value.

Our Motto: Handle With Care!

Why sponsor or partner with Fine China Sisters

The numbers for reported and non reported incidences of domestic violence and abuse are astoundingly high.    According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the following facts are noted:  Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior perpetrated by an intimate partner against another.  Violence against women is often accompanied by emotionally abusive and controlling behavior, and thus is part of a systematic pattern of dominance and control.  Domestic violence results in physical injury, psychological trauma, and sometimes death.  The consequences of domestic violence can cross generations and truly last a lifetime.

We predict that in the very near future, these ungodly numbers of both reported and non reported cases of domestic violence and abuse will double, if not triple.  We base these predictions on the following:  

  • the economic system continuing to unravel at the seams;  
  • politicians continuing  to debate, without resolution, on issues that directly and indirectly affect the overall well being of the people Fine China Sisters will service; 
  • foreclosures continuing to rise to numbers unheard of; 
  • the job market continuing to be like unto a childhood game of tag with one going to work as usual only to find, by reason of a pink slip, that “tag, you’re fired!”; and 
  • the health care system continuing to become more and more like unto a game of Russian roulette, with its vast potential for disaster and fatality, particularly among the more impoverished communities.

Fine China Sisters, its directors, counselors, officers, partners and volunteers are committed to staying informed of these statistics, so that our programs and services may evolve and/or adapt as the needs of the communities we service change.  Thereby, we remain relevant as a public service agency.  We accomplish this particular goal by continuing education, extensive research, attending community meetings, and political meetings that inform us of any impending changes that will directly or indirectly affect the communities we service.

Fine China Sisters is poised to succeed because we offer holistic services, meaning our concern is for the well being of the mind, body, spirit and finances of the individuals and families we serve.  We are best at equipping individuals and families to recognize early warning signs and to abandon any type of abuse before they reach their full potential, which in some cases lead to irreversible, irreconcilable and sometimes fatal consequences.
